Tarot Series~Minor Arcana: Nine of Cups

14e06457b1b8503ff579250b0a18f3b1

When pulled upright this card is about self-satisfaction. It is about going through the rough patches the rest of the suit had to offer, such as, struggling to find your purpose, to find joy again, you have explored new opportunities, and left your comfort zone. Now you are celebrating this new stage in your life. This card is a super positive one to get in a reading. It is often referred to a the wish card as when you get this card it tells you that you are going to get what you desire. When you are doing a reading about work this card talks about a good chance that something really great is going to happen in your place of work. Whatever it is that you’ve really wanted to achieve at work it is now the time to really push for it. When talking about love this card is saying a romantic relationship you have will go to the next level. So maybe you have been casually dating someone for awhile. This card could be saying you are both going to be ready to commit soon. Or maybe you have been in a relationship with someone for a while now, maybe you will finally get engaged. If you are single this card is telling you that now is the time to start socializing as you may find someone perfect for you. For readings about finances it says that whatever your financial goals are, they seem to be coming to life now.

When pulled in reverse this card is about how you need to really think about what you seriously want in life. You desire something more authentic. You’ve been travelling a pretty hard path and you feel like you’ve reached a point of fulfillment but you can’t shake the feeling that something is missing. To others you may come across as just smug and make it seem like you just want attention for what you have achieved. However you honestly still feel dissatisfied with yourself. You never seem to have an end to your desires. You always want more to the point that seems much like a black hole. You need to reflect on this and try and figure out where this issue stems from so you can do something about it. This card talks about how you need to stop placing all your value on all your blessings and rather start valuing the quality of your life.

So this card talks about how now is the time you will achieve your dreams so I thought this tarot spread would be helpful. First I would take the nine of cups out of the deck and meditate on it while thinking about your dreams for life. Then shuffle and pull the cards using your preferred method.

Tarot Series~Minor Arcana: Eight of Cups

Image result for eight of cups crystal visions

When pulled upright this card is about a time of change. In order for this change to occur there is something you need to walk away from. We all need to transform ourselves throughout our lives now and again. This is especially true when you’re tired of living your everyday life. Now is the time to go on a journey that will bring you to a better understanding on life in general. This card shows that you aren’t happy with the way your life is right now and you need to get in touch with your higher purpose. You may have been trying a bunch of things without committing yourself to try and see what it is you want from life but it is becoming exhausting. It seems like you need to step out of your comfort zone and get away from what is familiar. This card typically shows that one is tired of the material world and is getting reading to undergo a spiritual journey.

When pulled in reverse this card is about being really confused because you are not sure what direction you should be going in life. This confusion is usually caused because you are not sure what path is best for you. This can often lead to people moving aimlessly through life with no real goals. They just go with wherever their life takes them. It is also possible that you are aware of all this and that you need to pick your path a go with it. You likely haven’t been happy for a little while now but in order to achieve the happiness you want you need to go down a new path. Leaving everything you know behind to pursue something new can be really scary as you are not only experiencing change but you are also leaving the comfort you’ve grown accustom to. This is all however necessary to get where you need to go. This causes a lot of people to be stuck in this limbo of making an important decision. I think a good, common, example of this is when you’re unhappy in a relationship. Do you continue being with this person despite being unhappy because it is comfortable? Or do you break up to find happiness elsewhere but experience the extreme discomfort of starting over? It is important to have courage and to believe you deserve the happiness you crave.

Here is a tarot spread to help you on your path to transformation. First I would take the eight of cups out of the deck and mediate on it while thinking about what isn’t making you happy anymore. Then put the card back in the deck and shuffle and pull using your preferred method.

Tarot Series~Minor Arcana: Seven of Cups

c54bc59979c8ee50caf02d322726966e

When pulled upright this card is about new opportunities and experiences but it focuses a lot of illusions. It seems like you have new opportunities to choose from and they sound great in theory, but when you crack the surface and look deeper into them you may realize that the opportunities aren’t as great as they first seemed to be. This card can also be about wishing for things instead of manifesting them. So you are spending your time wishing you were good at an instrument, better at meditating, losing weight. However, you aren’t willing to put in the work to actually attain those things. Now is a good time to take one of those things you’ve been wishing about and actually put in the actions needed to achieve it. You also may have a habit of making these plans up in your head to achieve your goals but then realize when you actually set out to do it your plan doesn’t really work. This card is essentially telling you to get out of the ideas phase and actually choose something to work towards.

When pulled in reverse this talks about how you have several choices to make and you are making these decisions based on your inner wisdom rather than what everyone else wants you to do. If you are in a situation with multiple opportunities presenting themselves to you, you should take these opportunities and compare them to your priorities to best decide which you should take on. You may be feeling overwhelmed by all the choices but picking through them and tossing some out of the competition should really make things go smoother. You don’t need to keep searching for some big idea. You have everything you need already.

Here is a tarot spread for when you have some tough choices to make. First I would take the seven of cups out of the deck and meditate on it while thinking of the various choices you have. Then shuffle and pull the cards using your preferred method.

Tarot Series~Minor Arcana: Six of Cups

cd69ccdcf7401ba55dd55876803c4479

When pulled upright this card is about generosity, childhood, and happiness due to naivety. This card is about wanting to return to a point in your past where you were happier. This could be from your childhood, teenage year, or when you were a young adult. Most of these memories are parts of you that are no longer part of your life that you wish was. You may feel that the only way to be happy is to relive these memories. This card can also be able how you are going to be visiting a place like your hometown, the home of an old friend, a grandparents home, a school, etc. You’re looking to reconnect with the people from your past. This card can also be telling you that you have suffered a loss and now you are on your way home. You are looking to your past to find the solutions to the challenges you’re facing now. You may be looking to your friends and families to help you emotionally get through the challenges you’re experiencing.

When pulled in reverse you should feel comfortable thinking about your past as long as you don’t start dwelling on it. Also it is good that you are feeling comfortable at home but it is also important to forge your own path. You may also feel like you are disconnected from your childhood and the dreams you had when you were a child. These dreams may not all be realistic. So not reaching these goals may be painful but sometimes the path we set out on isn’t the path we’re meant to be on. Make sure you think about what you want to achieve and think about how you can actually reach those goals instead of just dreaming them.

I honestly could not find a tarot spread to go with this card but we did recently have a full moon so here is a tarot spread to do a full moon reading. First I would meditate on what the full moon will bring you this month. Then shuffle and pull the cards using your preferred method.

Tarot Series~Minor Arcana: Five of Cups

5-cups-crystal-visions

When pulled upright this card is about feeling disappointed that a certain situation didn’t turn out the way you hoped it would. Instead of moving on this card is saying that you’re really dwelling on what you wanted to happen and this is making you feel a lot of self pity and regret. This card may also be saying that you missed an opportunity. This problem is most likely emotional rather than a material or financial problem.  This card is saying you have a hard time letting go of the past and that you are unwilling to learn from the mistakes that you made previously. Since you are so caught up in the past you are likely going to miss opportunities in your present and future.

When pulled in reverse this card is about accepting and moving on from your past. You have come to understand and appreciate the lesson this experience has taught you. You may also be realizing what this experience did for you in the grand scheme of things. The suffering that it caused you has now made you a stronger and more resilient person. You are now ready to move on with the rest of your life.

Here is a tarot spread to help you move on when you get stuck in the past. First I would take out the five of cups and meditate on it while thinking about what it is you are stuck on. Then shuffle and pull your cards using your preferred method.

Tarot Series~Minor Arcana: Three of Cups

5fd46ea11ca22516add9ccba6c800ffd

When pulled upright this card is about happiness. The worries in your day to day life will go away from your mind and you will be able to spend some time with your friends and family. This card could be about a happy reunion with a friend from the past, relative you haven’t spoken to in years, or a loved one. This card may also be indicative of a celebration. It could be one for yourself or someone else. This celebration could be a wedding, birthday, graduation, etc. The three maidens depicted in the card symbolize your friends who you go to for love, compassion, and support. If you’ve been struggling socially this card may represent the end of those struggles.

When pulled in reverse this card is about not having the time to socialize with friends. You may be too caught up in school or work. This card can also be about you losing touch with old friends and as time goes by you may find you are growing apart from one another. As we get older we need to make sure we are still putting in an effort to maintain our friendships. This card could also mean that balance is lacking within your circle of friends. You may find that there is a lot of gossip and drama. Envy is probably a hidden problem your circle of friends are having and this may leave you feeling isolated.

Here is a nice little spread to help you figure out if the friendships in your life are good ones or negative ones. Before you start I would take out the three of cups and meditate on it while thinking about a certain friend you want to know about (or your circle of friends as a whole). After this, shuffle and pull your cards using your preferred method.

Tarot Series~Minor Arcana: Two of Cups

ff88fbf9c3b1285fe762e9272fe8e466

When pulled upright this card is about a relationship that was built on a good foundation. How you feel emotionally is very much dependent on the emotions of your partner. You two are a very strong pair. When you are doing a reading about work and you pull this card it means that people at work are going to be respecting you more, and you are going to be feeling more comfortable in your workplace. This card is also a good sign if you are looking for work. When it is about a relationship it talks about a strong commitment, a balanced relationship, and love. However, this does not mean that you don’t need to nurture this love to keep it going. If you are doing a financial reading then this card is about being financially capable and being about to financially support your obligations. If this is about health then this card suggests you need to find a health practitioner that you are comfortable working with and someone you can trust. If this is about your spirituality it can be saying to share your positive energy as the universe is giving you tons to go around.

When pulled in reverse this card is saying your balance is broken. This imbalance is causing disconnect and conflict between you and your partner. Instead of attracting each other like when the card is upright, you are repelling each other. Small things that seemed fine before may now seem like problems which may indicate that one of you is holding resentment towards the other. The open communication you had before has been cut off which is making the situation you’re in worse. Be the first to open up and you might find out the issues you two are having may be easier to sort through than you thought.

Here is an interesting spread for those of you with 2 decks to work with. This spread will give you an idea on how your relationship is going with your loved one. First I would take the two of cups out of the decks (if possible have each of you meditate on your own cards) thinking about how you feel your relationship is going. Then shuffle and pull using your preferred method.

Tarot Series~Minor Arcana: King of Wands

download (2)

When pulled upright this card is about energy. All the other wands cards are about creativity but this card is about the king having an idea and implementing it himself. This card represents a natural born leader and someone who is quite capable. Once you have a goal in mind you will stick to it until it is accomplished. If you pull the king card you may look forward to challenges and enjoy solving them.

When pulled in reverse this card can suggest one may be arrogant. When pursuing your goals you may be a bit aggressive, whether you realize it or not. You may make impulsive and rash decisions. You may also be pushy and overbearing at times. It is very likely that you are not trying to make others feel submissive to you but that is what you are doing regardless. This card can also suggest you are selfish, ruthless, and/or manipulative.

When you pull this card it may be hard to tell whether it is telling you positive or negative things about yourself. To help with this here is a tarot spread. This is great for figuring what things about your a great and what needs work. First I would take the king of wands out of the deck and meditate on it while thinking about what you think are your strong traits and your negative traits. Then shuffle and pull using your preferred method.
