Tarot Series~Minor Arcana: Ten of Swords

S10

When pulled upright is about a major disaster. Something big that wasn’t anticipated has made it’s way into your life. There is a good chance that this disaster has left you feeling betrayed as it is often about someone stabbing you in the back, figuratively of course. This reminds that that no matter how much we wish we did we do not control everything. This situation was unavoidable. Right now you probably have a self pitying attitude. Remember that when something comes to an end that something new will be coming too. Let go of that past and embrace the change as this is the direction your life was meant to go in.

When pulled in reverse this card is also about defeat. This tragedy was unavoidable and it has been building up for a long time over numerous past events. When reversed though there comes the understanding that you’ve hit rock bottom and there is nothing left that you can give anymore. Despite how terrible that sounds it means that nothing can get worse than this and things will only get better from here on out. But it is key to note that if you want things to start getting better you have to be the one to initiate this change. This is a chance to correct whatever it was that hurt you.

Here is a tarot spread for when you feel like you’re going through a mess. First I would take out the ten of swords and meditate on it thinking about the bad situation you’re going through. Then shuffle and pull the cards using your preferred method.

Tarot Series~Minor Arcana: Eight of Swords

67da252c32874504c5f81a4c6308a6c5

When pulled upright this card is about feeling trapped and like a victim. You feel like that the situation you are in needs to change but you are not able to make that change on your own, as it is not in your control. This makes you feel powerless. Feeling like you have no control over what is happening to you has been a big reason the situation keeps getting worse. Giving up your autonomy to a higher power, be it religious; government; or any other kind of authority, means you are giving up your personal responsibility to create that change for yourself. Giving up this control in your life, while it might work for some, is not working for you. You should avoid making big decisions right now as you aren’t thinking as clearly as you should be. The good part of all this is the trapped feeling you have and the lack of control you feel are all self-made and you can fix it all on your own. You need to open your eyes and look beyond the small box you’ve put yourself in. Look at all the possibilities you have and recognize the power you possess within you.

When pulled in reverse this card is about maturity and self-acceptance. It also is about knowing your own power and responsibilities. This is especially relevant as it usually appears after a long time of self doubt. You can now confidently make decisions because you are now confident in yourself and confident in your power to change your personal world and also the world around you. Now is the time to move on from the past and get excited for all the new changes and experiences to come.

Here is a tarot spread to help you gain confidence so you can find your inner power. First I would take out the eight of swords and meditate on it while focusing on feeling confident. Then shuffle and pull using your preferred method.

My Salem Massachusetts 2 Day Trip Itinerary

So in the last week of June my partner and I will be going on a 10 day vacation and one of our stops is going to be 2 days in Salem. So I thought it would be fun if today I kind of post our itinerary and then the Wednesday after our trip I make a big post about what exactly we did, what we thought of each thing and then some pictures!

Also key to note that any prices I provide are in USD.

Day 1:

So day one will be spent absorbing all the knowledge I can get.

  • First stop will be the Salem witch museum.
    • For your knowledge the pricing is $13 for an adult, $11.50 for seniors, and $10 for kids 6-14. Presumably kids 5 and under are free.
  • Salem witch trials memorial is the second stop
    • I read online that one should do the museum first (as we plan to) to have more context. As long as you aren’t doing a tour this is free to my knowledge.
  • Charter st cemetery is third on the list
    • This cemetery is right beside the Salem witch trials memorial so it is a good spot to head to right after there
    • I would assume it is free as long as it isn’t a guided tour
  • The Howard st cemetery
    • This is said to be the cemetery that Giles Corey was pressed to death
    • And as the rest of the places of rest should be free

brujeria-holanda-k0LH--510x349@abc

Day 2:

Most of this day will be just appreciating the city for what it is a city. We’ll go and check out local stores and just see other none witchy sites. However if the day end up drawing out a bit I have a couple places we could go to check out.

  • The Witch House
  • Witch History Museum
    • I found the price at one point but can’t seem to find it again
    • I read that this museum focuses more on witchcraft rather than the trials.

One thing that we will be doing later on in the evening is going on a walking tour. The tour we are going to go on is by hocus pocus tours. I’ll leave a link here if you want to know more about it. However if you just want to know the price it is Adults: $17, Seniors (65 & up): $15, Military Service Members: $15, Students: $15, Children (Ages 5-12): $10. Prices change a bit in October.

So that is all for today’s post. Make sure you stay tuned so you can hear about how the trip went and what I think of the various locations. Have you been to Salem? Let me know if you think there’s place I should visit that I haven’t mentioned, along with any other thoughts or questions you may have. Make sure you follow me here and on twitter so you get notifications when I post and when I upload videos to youtube. Until next time, Blessed Be!

Tarot Series~Minor Arcana: King of Cups

02d96512b533b148dc6c30684a24f233

When pulled upright this card is about creativity, emotion, and the subconscious. When you get this card it describes someone being in charge of their emotions which means one is balanced between logic and emotion. He also shows us that there is a strong relationship between understanding and feeling. When you are faced with a challenge you may get the king of cups as reminder to act as he would; you need to gain control of your emotions before you pursue anything so you can progress properly in reality. This card could also represent an older male in your life. This man will be someone who mature and willing to take responsibility for his actions. This card also talks about being very diplomatic and being able to balance the needs of others. He reminds you that you should remain mature when you’re dealing with negative energy.

When pulled in reverse this card is about someone who is volatile, emotionally manipulative, and moody. This card is about someone who is unable to balance the needs of others and may come across as cold to some people. His ability to understand others emotions may be used to manipulate others rather than help them. When you pull this card it is suggesting that either you or someone you know embodies the traits of the reversed king of cups. This person normally embodies the traits of the upright king of cups however and has only just lately been showing manipulative and controlling behaviours. His current actions are vengeful and vindictive. He will eventually experience some sort of punishment for his actions.

To help you balance logic and emotions here is a tarot spread! Before you start I would take out the king of cups card and meditate while thinking about the situation you want advice on. Then shuffle and pull the cards using your preferred method.

Cards 1 & 2
The Head Says… – These two cards represent the logical and creative mind. Some may refer to this as left-brain & right-brain thinking. Whatever your school of thought about brain hemispheres might be, these cards reveal how the mind’s logic may be working for you or against you. The first two cards can also reflect what the mind visualizes or perceives about your matter that perhaps has not manifested into reality. What is going on up there?

Cards 3, 4 & 5
The Heart Says…
 – These three cards represent authenticity of emotions, sensitivity, trust and the flexibility to be open to giving and receiving. It will be revealed through the cards that fall if following your heart will be the wisest decision. Healthy emotional intelligence reciprocates well with the environment, thus following your heart should show up as a clear statement supported by other cards.

Starseed Alien Races: Andromedan

Hi everyone! Thanks for checking out my blog. We are going to be starting a new series here on the blog which has been inspired by my new interest in finding my soul origin and the various planets my soul has existed on. We are going to start this series off by discussing the very first place my soul existed (other then within the universal energy source) which is Andromeda. In this series we will talk about what makes each race different from each other and the various signs that your soul may be from that planet/system.

Firstly, when it comes to neighbouring galaxies these guys are them for us. The Andromeda galaxy is 2.5 million light years away from us here on earth. When it comes to galaxies that is pretty close. They also exist between the 3 and 12 dimensions. It is thought that there are approximately 200 million starseeds on earth and only one million of them or less are Andromedan. From what I’ve gathered so far they seem to have a lifespan of thousands of years.

When it comes to their appearance it varies just like it does here on earth. Some resemble humans, some have elongated cone heads, some are blue skinned humanoids, and some are a tall winged humanoids. The majority seem to be those of the blue skinned humanoids. They tend to be approximately 6.5 to 7.5 feet tall. As they age their blue skin tends to become lighter and whiter. You will also find them most often in the 5th dimensions.

They are thought to be capable of space travel, dimensional travel, and time travel. They are 6000 years ahead of us when it comes to technology and 40 000 years ahead of us spiritually. They are said to be direct descendants of the Lyrans. They create technology solely for education and knowledge. It is not used recreationally like it is here on earth. Their technology can also be used for defense as well as they do not have a military. They rely on scientists.

Signs you’re a starseed from Andromeda

I will now talk about the signs you may be one. I am not the best example of one as I find I connect more with a planet I was on at another time however if there are any examples I can link back to myself I will do so.

Sign #1 They love their freedom

This can manifest itself in many ways. You may find that you don’t like being tied down in a relationship or that you don’t like a routine.

For me I have a hard time with feeling this freedom in my work life. I don’t like being under authority or having people telling me how to do things. I look forward to the day that I can run my own business.

Sign #2 They love to travel

This one ties into loving freedom as well. Many Andromedan’s will feel an extreme wanderlust and travel will be something very important to their lifestyle.

However, for me, I do enjoy travel and travelling is something I want to do but it isn’t a necessity for me. It is just something that I think would be fun to do.

Sign #3 Freestyle living

It is very common for Andromedans to not enjoy committed monogamous relationships. Don’t be surprised if they are forever bachelors or perhaps in a polyamorous/open relationship. They are also just not a fan of having commitments or obligations in general. Due to this you may find they are often late to things.

This is not something I can relate to. My partner and I have a slightly more open relationship compared to the average couple however even if it weren’t the case I would still be content with our commitment and I am hardly ever late. Maybe these are things my life on other planets have influenced.

Sign #4 They are a great judge of character

They are nearly impossible to manipulate. They are very drama free and keep their emotions firmly protected. They are also very hard to be made feel guilty.

This is also another trait that does not ring true to me at least not so when I was a child. As a kid I was very easily manipulated and was on a regular bases (although I don’t think intentionally necessarily) and was in a constant state of guilt (often for things I shouldn’t have felt guilty for).

Sign #5 You ask the big questions

Andromedan starseeds are social evolutionists due to the fact that simply don’t understand how life here on earth works. Due to this they are always asking the big questions. Why do humans have to pay to live on their planet? Why do humans lack privacy? Why are they not invested in making education accessible to everyone?

This is one of the traits that I do resonate with. One of the biggest questions Andromedan starseeds have is why it costs money for humans to live on earth and that is a question that I think about on a regular basis. Earth economy and politics as a whole have always dumbfounded me.

Sign #6 You are artists, teachers, freelancers, and spiritualists

These are the most common career paths of an Andromedan starseed (along with working in a firm that may empower people). These beings are on earth to teach humanity what it feels like to be free.

For me I am a teacher. I am preschool teacher specifically. I hope to someday be able to teach in my own home where I am not governed by the rules of a boss.

Sign #7 You dream of living off the grid

You are probably the kind of person who wishes to live off in the middle of nowhere, collecting your own rainwater, and being totally dependent on yourself. So you may have a garden or a farm so you can provide for yourself. You try to live your life (or at least wish you could) as removed from the government as possible.

For me I am definitely interested in rural life (not totally off the grid however) and I do dream to have a garden and farm sufficient enough to take care of me and my future family.

Sign #8 You are an introvert

Andromdans tend to be introverted. They are thought to be quiet beings and like to stay out of the centre of attention.

This is another trait I align with. I am very introverted and much prefer to stay at home doing my own thing than go out and party or anything like that.

That is all for today’s post though. I hope you enjoyed and learned something new. Are you an Andromedan starseed or at least think you are? Let me know in the comments along with any other thoughts or questions you have. Make sure you follow me here and on twitter to get notifications when I post and when I upload videos to youtube. The History behind Yule

In about a week or so I am going to be making my usual post about the upcoming sabbat but I thought it might be fun if today we actually talk about the history of Yule.

So back in the day, before Christmas even existed, we had Yule and it’s variances (Saturnalia). It was quite festive. Lots of drinking and parties. A lot of the traditions we have today existed then. For example, the yule tree, bonfires, feasts, etc.  However, when Christianity started forming the Christians weren’t too fond of our Yule.

There were certain people within the ranks (if you will) of Christianity who had the job of converting pagans, and the like, to Christianity using whatever forces they deemed necessary. It got to the point that you had to either pick Christianity or death.

One method the Christians used (other than murder) to convert the pagans is they took their yule traditions, made them a little less rowdy and called them Christmas traditions. Not only that, but they took their celebrations and gave them similar backgrounds (Christmas and Yule are both about the birth of god), and made the days relatively close to each other. For example, Yule starts on December 21st (the winter solstice) and they put Christmas on the 25th (even though that isn’t when Jesus was born).

So more and more pagans were either choosing Christianity, dying, or keeping their faith in secret. I feel this is why it is important to honour the pagans of the past during our sabbats because they did not have the freedom of religion we so luckily have today.

Sorry today’s post is a bit short but I hope you enjoyed it and learned something new. What are some of your favourite Yule traditions? If you let me know in the comments maybe I can add them to the Yule sabbat post I make later this month. Also, make sure you follow me here and on twitter so you get notifications on when I post and upload youtube videos. Until next time, Merry Meet and Blessed Be!

Tarot Series~Minor Arcana: Three of Wands

08aaa3eeca6764adbf987d53f3be9bfe

When pulled upright this card is about you getting ready to seriously, or you’re already seriously, make plans for the future. Because you’ve planned, everything is going smoothly. Your plans are becoming actions. This card can also tell you that there are opportunities coming that can widen your horizons. This is also reminding you to stay open to all opportunities because good ones could be coming your way. Just because you have certain plans don’t object opportunities that go against them. Change can be good and it can take you out of your comfort zone. This card can also talk about how you are in control. This card is big on foresight and vision. This card can also be about needing to travel to find the truths that you are looking for. This card typically says you should travel to land across the water. You may just find some new opportunities.

When pulled in reverse this card is about starting a personal journey but not achieving anything from it. This could be caused by delays or total blocks. This card reminds you that even though you haven’t met your goals that it is not for nothing. This experience you’re having is actually helping your personal strength. This card is also saying that you need to start making plans for your future. This is definitely true if you haven’t established any long term goals. The most common meaning is that future changes are going to happen and you need to start planning for them. You also need to keep an eye out for better options.

Here is a spread all about making future plans. First I would take the three of wands out and meditate on this card. As you meditate I would think about what future plans you may have. Then shuffle and pull the cards as you see fit.
