Weekly Tarot Reading: Let Your Soul Shine (Summer Solstice spread)

Hi everyone! I thought since Friday is going to be Litha we would do a little tarot spread that embodies the holiday. This spread is going to give you some insight on how you can be the best you you can be this summer.

The Tarot Spread

I actually enjoyed this spread so much that I was compelled to do it for my partner too. I have pulled the cards already but am writing this before I get the chance to really analyze the cards and get his message. I’m very excited.

img_20190618_192812
These are the cards I pulled for myself

Card 1: You as you are now (knight of cups reversed)

This card essentially was telling me that I allow my emotions to control my life more than I should. That I am overly jealous, emotional, and/or moody. I also jump to conclusions too fast.

I can definitely say that all of the above is true and it is something I really am trying to work on but I am not sure how honestly.

Card 2: What’s keeping you from being your best? (Ace of wands reversed)

This card talks a lot about going through trials and tribulations. That I feel I have no direction which is causing a lack of inspiration and motivation. Essentially I am just in a slump. I don’t seem to be excited to reach my goals and I am feeling weighed down by current commitments and responsibilities.

As you all know my life has just been bonkers lately and it still hasn’t stopped being bonkers. More and more things keep coming up. So that part seems pretty true. My lack of inspiration and motivation is actually so extreme that is seems to cause problems in my relationship with my partner. Honestly it is a mental health issue that I know needs fixed but once again I don’t know how. As for feeling weighed down by commitments and responsibilities it is a double edged sword. I work all day, then I come home and I am either, editing videos, uploading videos, or writing blog posts. I do a lot and it is super exhausting. However I am so proud of myself and what I have accomplished with this blog and my channel in such a short amount of time and I really don’t what to stop. So I need to learn how to balance out my schedule better.

Card 3: How to overcome it (The lovers)

Essentially this card to me was telling me to let my partner take care of me more. Sure I tell him what is upsetting me and I talk to him about stuff. But I very rarely let him see me breakdown. And especially these last 2-3 months I’ve totally broken down a lot and he’s seen me do that maybe once or twice. I don’t like to let him see me a mess or anyone else for that matter. However this card serves as a reminder to me that he can handle the mess that is me. And by me not letting him fulling in to what I am experiencing emotionally I am hindering myself.

Card 4: How you can work towards your goals (Ten of Pentacles)

I am very bad at making long term goals. I like immediate satisfaction and anything that doesn’t provide that I often drop. That is one reason why my partner is so surprised that I am still writing this blog. I have not become a superstar overnight and am still nowhere close to achieving that stardom. To go along with that most of my goals that I have for my blog and my channel are short term goals since I do enjoy that instant gratification. For instance I made a goal for the month of June to get 50 subscribers on my youtube channel. When I made this goal I already had 49 subscribers. I now have 53 subscribers which is obviously surpassed my very easy goals. I get nervous to make long term goals as I am afraid I will never accomplish them and in the end let myself (and possibly others) down. However this card is telling me I need to do just that. More of my goals will be met if I actually set those long term goals I fear.

Card 5: How you can care for yourself (Two of Swords reversed)

I have this tendency of getting into these stalemate like situations where I just need to make a choice but neither seem good so I just don’t chose. I like to think that if I pretend the issue doesn’t exist that it’ll go away. Newsflash! The situation doesn’t go away. Surprising right? This card is telling me to simply start making choices so my stress can go away.

Card 6: How you can care for others (Seven of wands reversed)

As I kinda said early when talking about my partner, I need to start letting my walls down. I tend to come across as aggressive when I am protecting myself and it damages my relationships with others. This card seems to be saying once I take care of myself, let myself be more vulnerable and learn to protect myself less aggressively, caring for others should fall into place naturally.

Card 7: How you can care for the world (Four of Pentacles)

This card is one I had a hard time interpreting today. From what I could gather it is reminding me not to become to materialistic. It also seems to be saying that in order to care for the world I need to take more risks.

This is all I have today! Let me know what you think of this spread, along with anything you think I missed, any other thoughts, or questions you have down below. Make sure you follow me here and on twitter so you get notifications when I post and when I upload videos to youtube. Until next time, Blessed Be!

Weekly Tarot Series: Grief Tarot Spread

Hi everyone, if you’ve read last weeks post you’ll know that I’ve been having a very hard month or two. If you follow me on twitter you will also know that my Nan passed away Wednesday afternoon. I wanted to find a way to continue my coping but also be delivering you content. Since this is Tarot Friday I thought instead of doing the next tarot card in the series I would do a tarot spread that may help you if you are going through a time of grief.

Grief-Tarot-Spread-1

Here is the tarot spread I chose to do. I found this super helpful and really brought me some peace.

img_20190524_201529
The cards I pulled

Card #1: Represents myself internally right now (Queen of Wands)

So this card actually surprised me. This placement is supposed to be about how I am doing internally right now. I assumed it would just tell me I’m miserable but instead it focused on how I am extremely focused, courageous, determined, and still doing my best to be positive, uplifting, and joyful.

Card #2: Represents the deceased (Five of Wands)

At first I didn’t quite understand what this card was telling me but then I realized it was saying that Nan had worked through her troubles and she did not have any more issues to worry about. It really just confirmed for me that she is at peace finally.

Card #3: Represents the relationship between you and the deceased (The Hanged Man)

Once again this is another card I had a hard time interpreting given what it was supposed to represent. Still don’t feel totally confident in my interpretation so if someone understands it a bit more feel free to let me know down below. Essentially what I gathered was that our relationship in the physical world had to be sacrificed in order to move forward. So her death was necessary (and the way it happened specifically) for me to be able to move on.

Card #4: A lesson the deceased has taught you (Justice)

This card says that Nan taught me firstly that decisions have long-term effects. But also that truth is essential in all things — one must learn the truth about others and yourself and one must speak and know the truth before judging others.

Card #5: Something that will help me move on (five of pentacles)

What I did with this card was a little different than how I normally read a card. I used the upright version of it (as I pulled it upright) to determine how I was feeling and then I used the reverse meaning to determine what will help me move on from those feelings. So the card said I was in a time of hardship. It also said I was feeling cursed and as though I had bad luck and I have actually said this out loud to my coworkers, so it really struck home. However how I will move on is that to recognize that brightness is coming into my life, that change is coming soon, and the worst is now over.

Card #6: How can I connect with the deceased going forward (Knight of Cups)

Pulling this card was really cool because the knight of cups actually acts as a messengers. And despite how cliche it sounds this card seems to be saying that I can connect with her by listening to my heart and trusting my intuition.

Card #7: A Message from the deceased (Ace of Wands)

This was a really nice message to receive from her and once again made me feel really at peace. Her message was to be creative and bold. To find and use my own voice. Also to follow my instincts and just go for it.

All in all this is a really great tarot spread that I would thoroughly recommend you use if you are struggling and going through a hard time. It has brought me a significant amount of peace. However that is all for today. Let me know if this spread was as helpful to you as it was for me down below in the comments, along with anything you think I missed, questions, or thoughts. Make sure you follow me here and on twitter so you get notifications when I post and when I upload to videos to youtube. And until next time, Blessed Be!

Tarot Series~Major Arcana Card 21: The World

83bcd688507b2555b075c8ddf4b48f1c67f13e22

When pulled upright it is about experiencing a great unity and wholeness. It marks when your inner world and outer world (self and other) become one. Some traditions call this experience enlightenment or nirvana. This happens when you recognize you are profoundly linked with all other things and all living things all move to one rhythm. This card is also about fulfilment, achievements, and completion. Everything you have been working on is beginning to pay off. You have completed a major milestone and through this have become resilient enough to get through life’s challenges. When this card comes up it can speak of the completion of a major milestone such as a long-term project, study, birth of a child, marriage, graduation, or anything else like that. This card can also show that you want to give back to your community.

When pulled in reverse this card can show that you are reaching the end of an era. You may have a bunch of accomplishments but when you look back on them you may still feel an emptiness yet to be filled. You may feel like something is missing from your life. Maybe you aren’t feeling connected to what you’re doing or to others. Only you can figure out what is missing.

Here is a tarot spread that focuses on the world card. This spread is great for finding what brings you joy. First I would take the world card out of the deck and meditate while focusing on what joy feels like to you. Then I would shuffle the cards and pull them using your preferred method.

worldspread

Card 1: This represents what brings you joy and what makes you whole; or, what you need to get there and what you have to deal with; the issues that block your happiness.

The other cards represent the gifts of the four elements, all the ingredients needed to be complete and whole.

Card 2: This card represents the element of earth: meaning the body and material things. This includes basic, simple pleasures, like food, shelter and sex–tangible resources and useful stuff.

Card 3: This card represents the element of water: your intuition, meaningful dreams that can help you define your wants and needs, your soul’s work; and your emotional gifts.

Card 4: This card represents the element of air: your intelligence, knowledge you have, the ability through experience to decide and discern.

Card 5: This card represents the element of fire: this is your passion, the source of your energy (or what’s blocking it), life, that which energizes and inspires you.

Pay attention to which suits fall in which positions: cards that reinforce the position (for example cups in the water position) indicate strength in that area, whereas suits that oppose the position (for example wands in the water position) may point to a need to work on that aspect of yourself to bring yourself into balance.

Thanks for reading everyone! This is the end of the major Arcana part of the series. Are you enjoying the series so far? Let me know in the comments along with any other thoughts or questions. Also, make sure to follow me here and on twitter so you get notifications on when I post. Until next time, Merry Meet and Blessed Be!

Tarot Series~Major Arcana Card 20: Judgment

c81d96efc36f5fea8ae1901319192217

When pulled upright this card is about reflecting and evaluating ourselves and our actions. Self reflection allows us to have a clearer and objective understanding about who we are now and what we need to do in order to grow. When you see this card it is telling you that you are getting close to a point in your life where you need to start reflecting and evaluating yourself. This card can also show that you are in a period of awakening due to self reflection. You have a clearer idea of what things need to change in order for you to continue growing. These changes could be small things in your daily routine to huge changes, like removing people from your life. This card tells us we have decisions to make that will hugely affect the rest of your life.

When pulled in reverse this card is about doubting and judging yourself too harshly. This doubt and judgement can be causing you to miss out on opportunities. All of this is causing you to fall behind on your plans which is making it difficult to move forward. You need to stop with caution but rather do things with pride and confidence. This card can also mean you need to take time out of your schedule to sit and reflect on your life so far and figure out what you’ve learned. You’re so busy you probably haven’t given yourself the time needed to fully learn lessons that are essential for you to progress as a person. You may also be holding on to mistakes you’ve made in the past, rather than forgiving yourself making it hard to move forward.

Here is a tarot spread that focuses on the judgement card. It is great for starting new beginnings. First I would take the judgement card out and meditate while focusing on what the next stage of your life might be. Then shuffle and pull the cards using your preferred method.

judgementspread

Card 1: This represents the earth, from which the new sprout of you emerges; it is the nourishment you need to grow and change. It can represent spiritual riches, or past experience, or the life you leave behind.

Card 2: This is the call, the trumpet that summons, the sun you are growing towards. This represents your inner voice, the demands of the soul, or the parts of you that seek change.

Card 3: This is the little sprout of you, how you will grow and adapt, the new you. It is also what renews you.

Thanks for reading! We only have one more Major Arcana card to talk about! Please leave any thoughts or questions in the comments; I love hearing from you. Also, make sure you follow me here and on twitter to get notifications when I post. Until next time, Merry Meet and Blessed Be.

Weekly Tarot Spread: Get to Know Yourself Better

Hi everyone! I hope you’re excited for Tarot readings to start again because I sure am! So as some of you may know I went through a temporary breakup last week and it made me realize that outside of my relationship I really don’t know who I am. So this week I thought it would be fun to do a tarot spread helping me figure out who I am. Next week we will recommence the chakra tarot spreads we were doing earlier this summer/spring. Also sorry for posting this so late. I did this reading this evening and it ended up hitting home so hard I just needed a long break from it before I could go over it again and type it up.  Lastly, this reading doesn’t have a picture to go with spread so I will try my best to show you the set up. Bear with me (the 5th card is supposed to be directly under the 4)

Card set up

Card 1   Card 9

Card 2  Card 8

Card 3  Card 7

Card 4  Card 6

Card 5

So I am not entirely sure what I expected to learn from this reading but it seems to be very much about the break up and the reading itself has come out a bit bleak in relation to us trying to make it work. So I am really hoping if I altar my path we can change the prediction of the cards.

41518535_1032971926883554_6008060391223984128_n
The cards I pulled

As you can see I pulled mostly reversed cards and mostly major arcana cards.

Card 1: How people perceive you

I pulled the lovers in reverse. This firstly is important because the lovers is my signifier card. And second it seems very relevant to the break up and most of my family and a lot of my friends knew about it. This card pretty much says that they perceive me as having a lot of inner conflict and disharmony. They see my break in communication and they see the foundation of my relationship being cut off. Overall the affects of the break up are very obvious and all people see when looking at me is the effects of the break up.

Card 2: What you think you are

I pulled the empress in reverse. This card talks about losing willpower and strength. It really shows how I overwhelm others with my caring for them but at the same time I still depend on others (my boyfriend) to care for me. It also talks about neglecting my own needs. I think this whole break up has really shown me how much I depend on my partner and now they we are back together I may be neglecting my own needs as I am worried he will leave me again.

Card 3: What you think you aren’t

For this card I pulled the queen of swords reversed. The queen of swords when reversed is thought to be bitter, coldhearted, and resentful. And I full heartedly agree that I don’t think I am those things. I think I am the exact opposite actually.

Card 4: What you don’t know about yourself

This was the card that shook me up the most. I got the tower in reverse. This card is about a looming crisis that I am avoiding. This crisis has to happen though and what I have been relying on will no longer be there for me. To me it just really sounds like that even though we are back together now, it won’t last and I am just prolonging the pain. I really hope I can change this though.

Card 5: Your true self

This was the card that confused me the most. I pulled the Ace of pentacles in reverse. This card talks about missing your chance. So I don’t know if this really says who my true self is but it feels to me to be saying the break up was my chance and I missed it.

Card 6: What you can do now to be a better person

This card was the emperor. The emperor is about control, organization, having a plan, acting rationally, growing my goals, and being both methodical and strategic. I think this card is saying is if I have any chance of growing from this blip in our relationship rather than just everything falling apart I have to come up with a solid plan and follow it through like the emperor would.

Card 7: What you should stop doing right now

I pulled the six of cups. This card says that I need to stop wanting to return to a happier time and to stop looking to the past to try and solve the crisis.  It seems to be saying it is time to move on from the relationship and to go on to better things.

Card 8: What can you do to realize hidden aspects about yourself

I pulled the Judgement card in reverse for this one. It says that I need to stop judging myself so harshly, to move forward with pride and confidence, and to reflect on my life up until this point. In general I have always been my worst critic and I have been feeling guilty for the reasons behind the break up. So I think this is just saying that what has happened is done and there is no sense in beating myself up. All I can do is look back and what is in the past and better myself from here on out.

Card 9: summary

For this I pulled the Justice card. This card pretty much says my decisions effect myself and others long term, that the truth will come to pass, and that it is time to come to a solution once and for all. So pretty much despite all this horrible stuff everything will turn out how it is meant to and for all this to be over we need to come to a solution sooner than later.

Well that’s it for my reading today. Sorry it is so grim. If anyone got something more positive out of this reading than me please let me know in the comments, along with any other thoughts or question, because I’m obviously not thrilled about my interpretation about it. Also, make sure you follow me here and on twitter to get notification on when I post and to keep up to date on an upcoming giveaway. Until next time, Merry Meet and Blessed Be.

Tarot Series~Major Arcana Card 19: The Sun

fa61d2b8ce8ae04ae0c8140ba341f1c1

When upright this card is about success, radiance, and abundance. The sun gives strength and vitality. It says that much joy and happiness is coming to you. Due to being personally fulfilled you give others inspiration and joy too. Your warm energy draws people to you. You are also in a position where you are able to share your qualities and achievements with others. You radiate love and affection towards those you love. This card can show that you have a strong sense of confidence right now.

In reverse this card is about having a hard time finding the silver-linings in hard situations right now. This could be preventing you from what you need to progress. It could also be preventing you from being confident and powerful. This card could also mean you are being unrealistic. An example of this is that you may be overly optimistic about certain situations. Take these things into account to make sure you’re on the right track and your successes continue as they do.

Here is a tarot spread all about the sun card. It is great when you’re in need of some self-care and need to be reminded of your inner light. First I would take the sun card out of the deck and meditate on it while focusing on your confidence and joy. Then shuffle and pull the cards using your preferred method.

sunspread.jpg

Card 1: This card represents your inner light, the form in which your light will manifest and show itself.

Card 2: This represents where to apply yourself; where you can be most successful, issues and situations where you are your strongest.

Card 3: This card represents that which needs to be cleaned, the windowpane through which the light shines. These are obstacles that need to be removed, that eclipse the light. This is how you can shine.

Cards 4 and 5: These represent renewed innocence, the playfulness and freedom that come when your inner light shines brightly. Harmonize these two cards, find how they fit together, and what they have in common.

Thank you for reading! If you have any thoughts or questions please leave them in the comments. Also, make sure you follow me here and on twitter so you get notifications when I post. Until next time Merry Meet and Blessed Be.

Tarot Series~Major Arcana Card 18: The Moon

crystal-visions-tarot

When pulled upright this card can mean that your imagination is taking the best of you. You are going down a path that you aren’t entirely sure of and it very well could be dangerous. The light of the moon in this card can bring you clarity and understanding. You should let your intuition guide you down this path. Be aware of the situations that are causing you fear and anxiety. Being aware of these things lets you not be deceived by yourself and keeps inner disturbances to a minimum. You need to take these memories and fear and let them go. All negative energy has to be released so it can be turned into something constructive and positive. This card could also mean that there is a hidden illusion in your life. There is a hidden truth that you have yet to discover.

When pulled in reverse this card can mean that there are some dark negative aspects in your life right now. That darkness could be confusion and unhappiness. Maybe you want to make progress but you aren’t quite sure how. The key to figuring this out is by letting go of your fears and anxieties. It is time to believe in yourself and move forward. This card in reverse also means you are in an intuitive period or you have recently just experienced a lot of confusion, anxiety, or self-deception. This card can also suggest that the things that were causing you confusion are slowly starting to go away and things are becoming clearer. You are started to get a hold of your fears and anxieties. All the negativity is slowly fading away.

Here is a great tarot spread that focuses on the moon card. It is great for bringing clarity to a confusing situation. First I would take out the moon card and meditate on it while thinking about a situation in your life that is causing you a lot of confusion. Next shuffle and pull your cards (only pull the first 3 cards in the beginning) using your preferred method.

moonspread

Card 1: This card is the Moon, the numinous dream image, representing magic, mystery and original beauty, the dark and the light, the beauty of the still night and the deep shadows. This card represents ideals and desires, intentions and clarity.

Card 2: This is the reflection in the water, the clouded sight, the mirror reflecting your biases and prejudices, the skewed perspective, the imperfect translation.

Card 3: This is that which the moonlight illumines, though dimly. These are the snatches of dreams you remember, the bits and pieces of clarity, what you can see from here.

Card 4: Take this card from the bottom of the deck and lay it next to card 3. This card represents that which is still in deep shadow, that which you can’t quite make out, hints and glimpses of things you don’t recognize. This is the darkness and confusion, or what is confusing you.

Both cards 3 and 4 are seen through the unclear glass, the biases shown in the reflection card. By comparing the three you can help determine and further define your perspective.

Tarot Series~Major Arcana Card 17: The star

Screenshot 2018-08-03 at 8.58.49 PM

When pulled upright this card is about hope, renewed power, and strength. It shows how blessed you are by the universe and everything around you is evidence. This blessedness may not be evident right yet as this card follows the trauma of the tower card before it. Remember that all you need to be happy can be found within you and even though things may not seem to have turned around for you yet you need to have faith because the universe will bless you and bring you all that you need. Seeing this card in a reading shows that you have gone through a terrible life challenge but you’ve managed to go through it without losing hope. While you were suffering you may not have been aware of your own strength but now you may be starting to realize that your loss has helped you discover just how resilient and how much inner power you have.

When pulled in reverse this card is about feeling as though everything is turned against you. Challenges that would normally excite you now feel like you can’t overcome them. You have lost faith in something, possibly yourself or something you normally find dear. This card in reverse tells us to nurture our sense of hope and positive energy to help us feel joy rather than fear.

Here is a tarot spread that focuses on the star card. This spread is great when you are surrounded by darkness and need a little taste of hope. First I would take the star card out of the deck and meditate on it while focusing on what it feels like to feel hopeful. Then shuffle and pull the cards as you see fit.

starspread

Card 1: This is something to hope for; a sign, a goal to work towards. Remember you can always find something positive, even in the most negative-seeming cards. Especially if this card is negative, you have to find that little glimmer.

Cards 2 and 3 represent positive things you can work on right now while keeping that Star in the corner of your sight.

Card 2: This represents pouring the water on the earth: this is what you can do to nourish yourself physically, or issues that have been preventing you from taking adequate nourishment.

Card 3: This represents returning water back to water: this is how you can enrich your unconscious, your soul. This is what you need to work on for spiritual nourishment.

Tarot Series~Major Arcana Card 16: The Tower

the-tower

When pulled upright this card is about extreme change that is radical and momentous which is why the card looks so unnerving. In reality the meaning of this card is not as frightening as it looks usually. At the very root of this card it is about foundational, groundbreaking change. This card doesn’t have to be about a disaster or a great loss as change is just a natural part of life even if it can seem scary because it means we have to abandon old ways of thinking and explore new ones. When it comes to readings about work this card is about in inevitable argument. When this argument happens you must stay in control and keep your temper. When doing a reading about your love life this card can signify the relationship you’re in may be coming to an end. So if you see this card take it as a warning and fix your relationship while you have the chance.

When pulled in reverse this card is about a crisis in the making and you are struggling to avoid it. What you need to realize is that these breakdowns are not inherently bad as they can break down your on something that is false. This tower is built on a bad foundation and must fall, despite the pain it may cause you the end result will bring you peace.

Here is a tarot spread that focuses on the tower card. This spread is great for dealing with the aftermath of trauma. Before you do this spread I would take the tower card out of the deck and mediate on it while thinking about the trauma you are trying to deal with. Then shuffle and pull the cards as you see fit.

towerspread

Card 1: This is the lightning bolt, the illumination, the sudden realization, the trauma, or the cause, and your initial reaction.

Card 2: This represents the foundation you have built upon. These are roots that have been suddenly bared; if you can, now is a perfect opportunity to examine them. Did you build on sand or stone? This card represents what it was, and what it could be.

Cards 3-7 represent the pieces falling around you, that went into the building of this structure. These are the blocks, the broken watch parts, that were running smoothly, (or were at least running), and are now divided and altered. Look at these pieces, now separate from each other, and sort the useful from that which no longer serves you. What would you like to keep? What will you discard? What might be kept, but in a modified form?

Tarot Series~Major Arcana Card 15: The Devil

39025539a0bed6fc63b32cb747d90e48

When pulled upright this card can mean you are experiencing feelings of entrapment, emptiness, and a lack of fulfilment in your life. It also means you are obsessed with materialism and despite trying to be less materialistic you can’t seem to get rid of the need/desire to live luxuriously. You may already be able to tell that that kind of lifestyle is leading you down a bad road but you for some reason have this feeling of not being able to control your actions or urges. Another reason for your feeling of entrapment and emptiness may be due to addiction (to substances or material objects).

When pulled in reverse this card can mean you have had your moment of self-realization and you’ve broken the chains of addiction and bad habits. Breaking these chains are not easy though so now is the time to really do a self assessment and list all the things they need to get rid of in their life. Once one does that it is then time to embark on the hard journey of self-improvement.

Here is a tarot spread that focuses on the devil card. It is great to use when you are feeling stuck so you can help see what is holding you back. First I would take the devil card out of the deck and meditate on it focusing on what areas in your life you feel need improvment. Then shuffle the cards and pull them as you see fit.

devilspread.jpg

Card 1: This card repesents the rut you are in that you can’t see out of, the old habit that is no longer serving you, your prejudices and biases.

Card 2: This card is the subconscious roots, why you are comfortable in this hole or why you are binding yourself. Can represent deep issues that need to be addressed, or depths not acknowledged, that are held back and need to be let out in some way. Also repression and fear.

Card 3: This card represents conscious manifestations, what this is doing to you on an everyday level, insecurities, anxieties, worry, or the happy face you put on things.

Card 4: This card puts it in perspective; it represents the bird’s eye view from above. This is an outside opinion, the overall picture.

Now pick card 5:

Card 5: This card shows how to free yourself from this, issues you need to get through, or advice you can apply to this situation. This is the way to loosen the chains.
