When pulled upright is about fear and anxiety, especially about the things that you worry about and that you think of while you’re trying to sleep. This card could be about trauma as well. You might feel self-conscious about this trauma and may be anxious about telling anyone about it as well as the emotional issues you have from the trauma. Swords cards are very much about the mind, logic, and intellect and the nine of swords really focus in on the negative aspects of that. You can’t seem to turn your brain off and are full of questions, and constantly thinking about all the possibilities that could happen. This card is also about how something that troubled you in the past, that you thought you managed to avoid and get past, is becoming an issue again. You should consider talking to someone about it because then at least you don’t have to carry this burden on your own. If this is something that has less to do with trauma and more to do with just general anxiety then you need to think about if this is something that you can control. Is there something that you can do or change that will help alleviate this anxiety? Focus on the things you can control.
When pulled in reverse this card is also about being affected by nightmares, anxiety, and stress. Something traumatic that happened before is resurfacing and overwhelming you. However despite all of this there is more hope than there is with the upright version. In the upright version you are kind of wallowing and not trying to actively feel better, but when the card is in reverse you do have that motivation. However you have to actually take action to see any change. Nothing will get better if you do not make an effort to leave it behind. It is important to remember that even though there is hope of getting through this there is the chance of things getting worse if you don’t make the effort to get through this rut. It is all on you to avoid that. If you push yourself you could find yourself out of this rut but if you don’t push yourself you can sink farther into it.
Here is a tarot spread to help you get through your anxiety and stress. First I would take out the nine of swords and meditate on it while focusing on your anxieties and stressors in your life right now. Then shuffle and pull using your preferred method.
Thanks for checking out today’s post! Let me know what the nine of swords has been telling you down below along with any other thoughts or questions you have. Also, make sure you follow me here and on twitter so you get notifications when I post. Until next time, Blessed Be!
When pulled upright this card is about having to make a regrettable transition in your life. This transition is likely happening due to a decision you made in the past which is now forcing you to leave something behind as you move forward. Despite the fact that this is bringing a great deal of sadness you need to remember that given the circumstances this is the best possible outcome. This card reminds you that life is full of times where you have to let go of things you’ve become accustomed to. This isn’t going to be easy but remember that this sadness is only temporary. Look forward to your future and gain strength from its possibilities. Sometimes you can’t fix what’s broken. The only thing you can do it leave the issue and start new. You may find yourself thinking that this seems cowardly but sometimes it’s the only thing that can be done when you’ve tried to make it work using every other method. Now you need to start planning your path to a happier future. Due to it being a swords card it is telling you to make these plans with logic, clarity, and objectively to know where you’ve been, where you are now, and where you want to go.
When pulled in reverse this card is about how you’ve been actively trying to make this transition and move on however you may find that making this transition is quite challenging. You may find yourself reliving your past due to unresolved issues, or maybe because you are second guessing your decisions. Another meaning of this card could be that you are actually resisting these transitions. You may feel forced into doing things that you aren’t ready for or that you don’t want to do at all. Take a second to think about the possible benefits of these transitions and not just their negatives.
Here is a tarot spread to help you embrace the transitions that are happening in your life. First I would take the six of swords of the deck and meditate on it while thinking about the transitions that are starting to take form in your life. Then shuffle and pull using your preferred method.

So in the last week of June my partner and I will be going on a 10 day vacation and one of our stops is going to be 2 days in Salem. So I thought it would be fun if today I kind of post our itinerary and then the Wednesday after our trip I make a big post about what exactly we did, what we thought of each thing and then some pictures!
Also key to note that any prices I provide are in USD.
So day one will be spent absorbing all the knowledge I can get.
- First stop will be the Salem witch museum.
- For your knowledge the pricing is $13 for an adult, $11.50 for seniors, and $10 for kids 6-14. Presumably kids 5 and under are free.
- Salem witch trials memorial is the second stop
- I read online that one should do the museum first (as we plan to) to have more context. As long as you aren’t doing a tour this is free to my knowledge.
- Charter st cemetery is third on the list
- This cemetery is right beside the Salem witch trials memorial so it is a good spot to head to right after there
- I would assume it is free as long as it isn’t a guided tour
- The Howard st cemetery
- This is said to be the cemetery that Giles Corey was pressed to death
- And as the rest of the places of rest should be free
Most of this day will be just appreciating the city for what it is a city. We’ll go and check out local stores and just see other none witchy sites. However if the day end up drawing out a bit I have a couple places we could go to check out.
- The Witch House
- Witch History Museum
- I found the price at one point but can’t seem to find it again
- I read that this museum focuses more on witchcraft rather than the trials.
One thing that we will be doing later on in the evening is going on a walking tour. The tour we are going to go on is by hocus pocus tours. I’ll leave a link here if you want to know more about it. However if you just want to know the price it is Adults: $17, Seniors (65 & up): $15, Military Service Members: $15, Students: $15, Children (Ages 5-12): $10. Prices change a bit in October.
So that is all for today’s post. Make sure you stay tuned so you can hear about how the trip went and what I think of the various locations. Have you been to Salem? Let me know if you think there’s place I should visit that I haven’t mentioned, along with any other thoughts or questions you may have. Make sure you follow me here and on twitter so you get notifications when I post and when I upload videos to youtube. Until next time, Blessed Be!
When pulled upright this card is about generosity, childhood, and happiness due to naivety. This card is about wanting to return to a point in your past where you were happier. This could be from your childhood, teenage year, or when you were a young adult. Most of these memories are parts of you that are no longer part of your life that you wish was. You may feel that the only way to be happy is to relive these memories. This card can also be able how you are going to be visiting a place like your hometown, the home of an old friend, a grandparents home, a school, etc. You’re looking to reconnect with the people from your past. This card can also be telling you that you have suffered a loss and now you are on your way home. You are looking to your past to find the solutions to the challenges you’re facing now. You may be looking to your friends and families to help you emotionally get through the challenges you’re experiencing.
When pulled in reverse you should feel comfortable thinking about your past as long as you don’t start dwelling on it. Also it is good that you are feeling comfortable at home but it is also important to forge your own path. You may also feel like you are disconnected from your childhood and the dreams you had when you were a child. These dreams may not all be realistic. So not reaching these goals may be painful but sometimes the path we set out on isn’t the path we’re meant to be on. Make sure you think about what you want to achieve and think about how you can actually reach those goals instead of just dreaming them.
I honestly could not find a tarot spread to go with this card but we did recently have a full moon so here is a tarot spread to do a full moon reading. First I would meditate on what the full moon will bring you this month. Then shuffle and pull the cards using your preferred method.

When pulled upright this card is about feeling disappointed that a certain situation didn’t turn out the way you hoped it would. Instead of moving on this card is saying that you’re really dwelling on what you wanted to happen and this is making you feel a lot of self pity and regret. This card may also be saying that you missed an opportunity. This problem is most likely emotional rather than a material or financial problem. This card is saying you have a hard time letting go of the past and that you are unwilling to learn from the mistakes that you made previously. Since you are so caught up in the past you are likely going to miss opportunities in your present and future.
When pulled in reverse this card is about accepting and moving on from your past. You have come to understand and appreciate the lesson this experience has taught you. You may also be realizing what this experience did for you in the grand scheme of things. The suffering that it caused you has now made you a stronger and more resilient person. You are now ready to move on with the rest of your life.
Here is a tarot spread to help you move on when you get stuck in the past. First I would take out the five of cups and meditate on it while thinking about what it is you are stuck on. Then shuffle and pull your cards using your preferred method.
