When pulled upright this card is about a stalemate. There are two people, ideas, situations, what have you, that are clashing right now. Neither are getting anywhere due to this. When you started on your journey down the path that led you here you had not foreseen an issue such as this. You probably are finding that you’re caught right in the middle. If nothing or no one sorts this out this stalemate could continue indefinitely. You need to choose between one or the other, despite the fact that neither probably sound all that desirable. As soon as you make this decision though you will be able to progress on your journey. You may also find that this card is about balance and partnerships. It is reminding us that we need to keep our relationships balanced. Regardless of what type of relationship it is, business, platonic, romantic, etc you find yourself struggling to maintain them. If this a reading about work this card suggests you are stuck in limbo and seem to be waiting on the decisions of others. Remember to stay patient and don’t pressure this person into rushing their decision. This card could also be warning you to be cautious. You may find that you are trying to stay ignorant of the situation hoping that if you don’t acknowledge it it’ll go away. This card is reminding you to stop avoiding your problems as this will not fix them.
When pulled in reverse this card is about a much more intense stalemate. It is like 2 forces are battling each other. This could be an external battle or an internal one, but regardless you are being forced to be the tie breaker. You may find that neither party are easy to work with which may be making it hard for you to make your decision. Whenever you do make the decision it will be a decision between two bad outcomes. The important part is to just make the choice because you will be able to deal with what consequences it brings.
Here is a spread to help you make your decision in your stalemate. First I would take out the two of swords and meditate on it while thinking about the 2 choices that you have before you. Then shuffle and pull using your preferred method.

When pulled upright this card is about the difficulties you were experiencing being done with. You have a strong energy about you right now and in certain aspects of your life you’re going to be trying new things and others with follow suit. It is possible good news is coming your way and you are going to experience some personal growth from it. This card can also be about your work. Whatever decision you’ve been waiting for seems to be on its way and you just need to be patient. If this card is for a love reading it is suggesting that you are ready for a committed relationship. However, just because you are ready doesn’t mean your partner is and you should not pressure them into it. Your partner will be ready soon and just forcing it on them will only cause problems. If this is a reading about money it is saying this is not the time to make impulsive investments. Like with everything else this card wants you to be patient. Keep saving and the perfect time to invest will come.
When pulled in reverse this card is about patience as well. You may find yourself becoming frustrated about something. Perhaps everything you were trying to do earlier has created the obstacles you’re experiencing now. However you cannot change the past so forgive yourself and fix your game plan. When it comes to readings about work this card could be suggesting that there has been a disagreement going on. You need to fix this argument quickly so it doesn’t completely derailing a major issue. When this card is about love it may be referring to some jealousy. This jealousy has no basis and will just hurt the relationship you have with your partner. If this card is for a reading on your health or spirituality it is saying you need to improve your focus and determination. The energy that we were talking about earlier will just dissipate if you lose your focus.
Since this card seems to be all about patience, I thought it would be fitting to show you guys a tarot spread about patience too. So when you go to do this spread I would take out the eight of wands from the deck and meditate on it. Really focus on what you need to patient about. Then when you’re ready shuffle and pull the cards using your preferred method.
